東京ビッグサイト（東京都江東区）で開催中の国内最大の同人誌即売会「コミックマーケット（コミケ）93」のコスプレエリアでは、人気キャラクターに扮（ふん）したコスプレーヤーが自慢の衣装を披露。コミケでは、テレビアニメも人気のサンカクヘッドさんのギャグマンガ「干物妹（ひもうと）！うまるちゃん」の主人公・土間うまるのコスプレが定番になりつつある。
うまるは、見た目は完璧美少女だが、家に帰るとダラダラとゲームをしたり、大好きなものを食べながらグータラ過ごすというキャラクター。今回のコミケでも、うまるに扮し、ポテトチップスの袋やコカコーラのペットボトルを手にしたコスプレが見られた。中には、ビニールシートを敷いて、座りながらグータラ過ごすコスプレーヤーもいた。
コミケは、1975年に始まったマンガやアニメ、小説、ゲーム、音楽などの同人誌の即売会で、現在は夏と冬の年2回開催されている。コミケでコスプレをするには、1日あたり1000円の登録料が必要。31日まで。

At the Comic Market, cosplaying as Umaru Tooru - the protagonist in gap - manga (comedy) "Himouto! Umaru-chan" by author Sankaku Head (which is famous TV anime) is very popular.
Umaru is a perfectly beautiful girl, but when she gets home, she becomes the lazybones who is playing games and eating her favorite snacks at the same time.
